On July 4, 2014, Platform Beer Co. opened it's flagship location in Cleveland, Ohio, currently featuring a 10BBL brewhouse that pumps out a constant rotation of super rad brews. Just a mere 2 years later in 2016, we opened our second taproom in Columbus, Ohio with the original 3.5BBL brewhouse from our flagship location that now churns out delicious experimental and barrel aged beers for the Columbus market and beyond. Next up in 2016, Gypsy was born, a 60BBL brewhouse established in the 120,000 sqft former Leisy Brewing Company building. The facility is a throwback to Cleveland's brewing past with an updated, modern commercial beer making operation. It is home to our incredible brewers, cellarman, packaging, warehousing and quality control lab. Coming soon to Cincinnati, Ohio is the newest tasting room concept, LOCOBA, or Local Coffee Barrels. Servicing the good people of Over the Rhine from morning to night, it will feature artisan coffee, quick service food options with delightful cocktails, wine and Platform beer. Also, coming soon to Cleveland is Phunkenship, the dedicated sour beer program facility, utilizing the "coolship" method of brewing which allows for spontaneous inoculation of unfermented, cooling wort. Paired with primary fermentation in wood barrels and fodors, our Phunkenship brand of sour beers are artfully designed and funky by nature.
